How many acoustic panels does a room need? We work out the wall area, subtract openings, then show how many panels are needed for your chosen coverage — the same way an acoustic layout is drawn for studios, offices, schools and meeting rooms.

Why we publish free calculators
Buying building materials from a factory abroad is hard to get right first time. The specification changes between projects, quantities are quoted per square metre or per box, and the waste factor is usually guessed. A wrong guess costs you money twice: you either order too little and stall the installation, or you over-order and pay for material that sits in your warehouse.
These calculators remove that guesswork. The SPC Flooring Calculator turns a room size and a plank format into a box count you can put straight into a purchase order. Frequently asked questions
How many boxes of SPC flooring do I need for a room?
Multiply room length by width to get the floor area, add 5-15% for cutting and offcuts, then divide by the area of one plank and round up to full boxes. The SPC Flooring Calculator does exactly that and shows the number of boxes, planks and supplied square metres.
How many acoustic panels does a room need?
Most room acoustic designs cover 40-60% of wall area with absorber. Enter your room length, width and height in the Acoustic Panel Calculator to get the wall area and the panel count for your chosen coverage, plus the percentage of the room actually treated.
How much wall panel do I need for my wall?
Wall area equals width times height for each wall, minus openings such as doors and windows. Add 5-10% wastage for cutting, then divide by the panel size to get the number of panels. The Wall Panel Estimator also works out adhesive and offcuts.
How do I convert window and door sizes from metric to imperial?
Millimetres to inches is divided by 25.4, and square metres to square feet is multiplied by 10.764. The Window and Door Size Converter shows width, height, unit area, total area for a quantity and the estimated order value at your price per square metre.
